Is my wrist still chipped?

2 weeks ago i chipped a bone in my wrist, i went to the hospital and they confirmed it was a chip and i was given a half cast (only 1 plaster slab). The wierd thing is the doctor said, 6 weeks to heal, 4 if your lucky. But even right now i unwrapped the bandages because it felt loose and i noticed no pain in my wrist, it feels great, but ofcourse feels weak. i find it very hard to believe that a chipped wrist bone can heal in 2 weeks, is this possible and is my wrist still chipped? thank you
