Why did Pacquiao's punch rate decline?

much is made of pacman's overwhelming punch rate, but it was lower in this fight. manny's many supporters say he will overwhelm floyd because he throws a thousand punches per fight. well, i read even the 40 years old mosley's slight movement messed manny up a little. pac ain't getting any younger himself.
