German WW2 bandages.?

i am trying to find ways of making my own bandages for a reenactment im going to as a field nurse and im trying to find pictures of bandages so i can make my own and save some money. i know that they were usually tied up with string but what did they look like opened? were they mainly filled with a rolled gauze? if you can help thanks, if you want to be rude please do not reply only serious answers please.
